Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is it painful?
Probably the most asked question about laser treatment! Often described as the sensation of being pinged by an elastic band but on most people there is little or no sensation at all. The Eneka PRO laser we use has a unique cooling tip and keeps the skin at a constantly 5 degrees, this makes a huge difference.
  • How much does it cost?
Treatments start from as little as £29 per session and with course of 6 there is an additional 20% off when booking. This makes us incredibly competitive compared to other laser hair removal clinics in Scotland. ** We offer a price match within a 15 mile radius if you find a like for like treatment (T&C apply) **
  • How many treatments will I need?
With the advanced diode laser machine most people require approximately 6 treatments unlike older IPL or lasers which require 8 - 12 treatments.
  • What happens at my consultation?
The consultation is a really important part of the journey and as such we allow 45 minutes with each client to go through any concerns and questions and just find out a little about your goals and how we can achieve them.
  • How do I prepare for my first treatment?
Ok so you’ve had the consultation and are all set to get super smooth, follow these easy steps before you come in for every treatment: Shave the area to be treated the night before (unlike waxing you do NOT want any hair present) Have clean product free skin (no deodorants/make-up or moisturisers on the area) As long as your skin hasn’t been exposed to tanning beds or holiday sun for around four weeks before treatment and you don’t have fake tan on you are all good to go! So that’s it ... simple and easy!
  • Do I have to grow my hair?
No, so unlike waxing when you have to let your hair grow before a treatment, with laser you don’t! Just keep it nice and trim so the laser can make its way down the hair follicle underneath the skin to get the best results.
  • OK, so I've had my first treatment, what happens next?
Nothing really. With our advanced diode laser there should be minimal redness/irritation that was typical with older IPL and laser machines. As long as you avoid hot baths and showers for a couple of days, avoid sun or sun beds and just treat your skin with a bit of extra kindness it’s all pretty simple. Then we would book you in for the next treatment roughly 6 weeks later and that’s you on the way to being super smooth all year round. An aftercare sheet is given out during the consultations.
  • Can I exercise after treatments?
A important question for all you gym bunnies 🐰 out there ! 24 hours is ideal to leave before to do any vigorous exercise and 48 hours before you use a swimming pool, sauna or hot tub.
  • Why choose laser hair removal?
Laser is far more cost and time effective in the long run than shaving, waxing or IPL. Less irritation, no hair in between and long term results.
  • Who can have laser hair removal?
Most people, men and women can benefit. Those with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) might need ongoing treatment due to hormonal concerns so we offer a discount as well as being here to help with those transitioning.
  • Does it work on all hair colour?
Laser needs the pigmentation in the hair in order to work its magic. So hair with little or no pigment (i.e. white/grey/light blonde) do not respond well to treatments. Red heads also fall into this category.😥
